For the past week and a half I’ve been MIA from SoDak. I went to visit my family in the Chicagoland area. 

I spent an evening on the Lake with my daughter.  This was such a fun photo shoot, despite the gnats flying everywhere. The birds sure enjoyed a feast!

We enjoyed a picnic supper on the rocks at North Point Marina. This was by far the most enjoyable shoot I’ve ever gone on with my daughter. We just enjoyed the evening’s colors, the sound of the water and some tasty simple food.
 

I absolutely love working with long exposure, especially how it creates the silky soft billows of water around the rocks. 
 

This trip was one of the most relaxing trips I’ve taken back east but am I ever so thankful to be home again! I will post some photos of our trip down to the city sometime in the next few weeks.
